So, just who is Don Farrell?

Don Farrell is an actor, a singer, a dancer, a producer, a concert soloist, a father and all around nice guy! (Don't let the photos of him as Sweeney Todd fool you - he really is a great guy!) Don is the founder, President and CEO of Crossroads Entertainment, LLC - a professional production and performing company ( www.crossroads-ent.com ). He has presented the hit band TEN BRANCHES at Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael and with his collaborator, music director/arranger Terry Woods, they have co-created the following hit cabaret shows:

* ALL THE WAY - A Frank Sinatra Tribute * ONE VOICE: The Music of Manilow

* BECAUSE OF YOU - A Tony Bennett Tribute

* SWEET CAROLINE - The Life and Music of Neil Diamond

* A SINATRA CHRISTMAS!

* SUMMER NIGHTS: The Music of Grease

* THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC! An ABBA Party

* BUBBLES UP! Let's Celebrate Jimmy Buffett

* SIMPLY THE BEST: A Celebration of Tina Turner

Each have been playing to SOLD OUT performances at Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael in Carmel, IN (www.feinsteinshc.com).

Don is also a co-founder of Actors Theatre of Indiana, Hamilton County's only professional Equity Theatre company and the resident professional theatre company at the Center for the Performing Arts. There he served as Producing Artistic Director, then Executive Director, and finally Artistic Director until August 2023 when he stepped down to pursue his professional career as a performing artist. While at Actors Theatre of Indiana (ATI) he oversaw the creation & implementation of all ATI programming and, since its inception in 2005, helped grow the organization from a small professional theatre company to an award-winning and vital member of the Central Indiana arts scene.

For ATI, he has produced every production of its 18+ year history including The Palladium debuts of Two-time TONY award winning Sutton Foster (An Evening with Sutton Foster) and Two-time TONY winning Broadway legend Chita Rivera (CHITA: A Legendary Celebration) both to critical acclaim. He has directed many shows for ATI including Beyond the Rainbow: The Frances Gumm Story (Indiana premiere), Sisters of Swing: The Story of the Andrews Sisters (Indiana premiere), My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra (Central Indiana premiere), COLE (Professional premiere), And The World Goes ‘Round, Rounding Third, A Grand Night For Singing, The Taffetas; Forever Plaid; and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. For more information about Actors Theatre of Indiana, visit, www.atistage.org .

Mr. Farrell has been a member of Actors' Equity Association since 1992, is a veteran of the concert/ theatrical stage and has worked steadily in practically every capacity of the business. He has spent over 36 years working as a professional singer, dancer, actor, director, choreographer, and producer with a career that includes Off-Broadway, International Tour, National Tour, Las Vegas, Regional, Symphony concerts and Educational productions. He received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Music Theatre from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. He has served as a member of the drama faculty for NYC’s premier musical theatre training conservatory Collaborative Arts Project 21, has taught drama workshops and master classes for theatre companies and universities and is a scholarship adjudicator for the National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) Music Theatre Competition.

He made his Off-Broadway debut as Jimmy O’Flaherty at the Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse in Irene starring Penny Worth, Alex Korey, Lee Roy Reams, George S. Irving and Ruth Warrick. His subsequent returns to the stage have been as varying as they were lauded, from the vengeance seeking title role of Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, to the guilt ridden John Proctor in The Crucible, to his flamboyantly dramatic Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles, to his devilishly comical portrayal of Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees, to the grumpy yet lovable Toad in A Year with Frog and Toad. He originated the role of "Bob Harrison" in the world premiere of MR CONFIDENTIAL with book and lyrics by Samuel Garza Bernstein and music and orchestrations by David Snyder,  “Louis” in the world premiere of Last of the Red Hot Mamas, the Sophie Tucker Revue-sical and “Ruby Waxman” in the world premiere of TUNING IN.

An active member of his community, Don has been a member of the Board of Directors for the not-for-profit Carmel International Arts Festival since 2022 and also serves as President of the Board of Directors for the not-for-profit organization Roundabout Fitness.
